Occupy the St. James is on June 30th, which is EXTREMELY SOON!! We’ve been talking a lot about this, and it won’t be extremely formal, we’ll just meet at the St. James, then walk around Times Square, then eat at the Hard Rock Cafe. It’s basically just a meet up for Green Day fans, plus the Emily’s Army concert is the Tuesday before it, so if you wanted to come to OTSJ to meet people like Adrienne etc., that would be a better place to go. Also I know that I (Sydney/wilhelmfink) and Maddy (foodaroundthecorner/smellofthemonth) will definitely be there.

If you still want to go to OTSJ then please talk to your parents, and tell us FOR SURE that you can go in our ask box, or tell either me, Sara, or Anna. We just want to see how many people will be there so it will be easier to plan!!

Hey guys! Sorry we haven’t been posting in a while, but we were talking and we may move OTSJ to June 26th. The Emily’s Army concert is in Brooklyn that day, and it just may be more convenient. Nothing is official though! More news coming soon!

Hey, woah we really haven’t posted anything in forever but that doesn’t mean this is forgotten! Hopefully we’ll be able to discuss/plan more of the event as it draws closer, meaning cough we need to have a group tinychat soon! Hope you’re all super stoked about the new album Green Day’s recording!

Hey guys! Maddy here, and I know we haven’t made much progress with OTSJ in a while, but we’d really love for you all to try to participate in the arrangement of this event! I spoke with my mom about making the shirts again, and we’re working on getting me a bank account so I can make a paypal so that I can open a store on cafepress and start selling the designs on things! But she made a very good point- we are using the American Idiot heart grenade, which we most likely will not be able to use on designs because it is probably copyrighted my Green Day, and therefore we can’t use it on things to make profits or advertise this event in general. 

So now, I (and hopefully the rest of the crew once I really discuss this with them) will start developing idea on how to contact Green Day (most likely through the GDA) to ask for permission to use this logo for the event. In the process, they’ll obviously find out about OTSJ as well, so maybe we’ll get a little feedback with their thoughts on it! In the meantime, me and whoever else would like to will begin creating designs that are completely original that we could use as a substitute for the heart grenade. 

And as always, we are open for suggestions for anything! 

Hey everyone! SO as you all might have heard, Green Day is having a t-shirt design contest where members of the Idiot Club can submit t-shirt designs, and whoever wins gets 5 of their own shirts and also a lifetime membership to the club.

SO.

Wouldn’t it be convenient if everyone made designs that said “OCCUPY THE ST. JAMES”, Green Day sees them, Green Day wants to know what this is, and suddenly… they find out about us. Adrienne knows, but I think we need to get the word of us out there more.

Okay, so come up with designs and SUBMIT THEM TO THE GREEN DAY WEBSITE! I’m sure you can get more details there!
